Brufut Horizon gives 4 projectors to Defence ministry

Brufut Horizon, a charitable foundation in The Gambia, has given a helping hand of 4 projectors to the Ministry of Defence.

Leaders of the foundation, established in 2013 and registered in 2022, with its headquarters in Brufut Town, Kombo North, West Coast Region of The Gambia, presented the projectors at the Defence Ministry complex in Banjul on May 6, 2025.

Delivering a statement at the ceremony, the Chairman of Brufut Horizon, Omar Jallow, stated that Brufut Horizon is a non-profit organization in The Gambia that helps schools and institutions to realize their full potential.

According to him, as an ex-soldier of the Gambia Armed Forces, he recollected his recruit training in 1995 when they used to receive training instructions on a blackboard with a white chalk and those recollections motivated him to do a donation to the Ministry to bridge the technology gap between the past and the present.

For his part, the Minister of Defence, Brigadier General Sering Modou Njie (Rtd), extended his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the donor in particular and Brufut Horizon in general for the generous donation of 4 projectors to his ministry.

According to him, the donation would go a long way in realising the ministry’s objectives of improving efficiency and enhancing an effective work environment. The minister promised the donated items would be put into good use and their durability ensured.

The Brufut Horizon chairman was accompanied to the Ministry of Defence by the foundation’s Vice Chairman Abdoulie Jawara and the Quality Control Officer of the organization, Major Musa Sambou.
