Saddibou Kamaso, eminent Gambian football ambassador and former presidential aspirant for the Gambia Football Federation (GFF), has passionately said that football is in his DNA.
Mr. Kamaso made this remark on Sunday, a day that witnessed the unveiling of the 2025 6-Aside tournament by the National Inter-Departmental Sports Association (NISA).
Two matches were held. The first match pitched UN Gambia against the Judiciary, while the second match featured the Kubuneh United F.C. against Creation Plus F.C.
Mr. Kamaso, in his late 40s, played for Creation Plus, his company, in the second match and performed extremely well throughout he game, despite his age.
In a post-match interview, he described the tournament as an important initiative, saying it was not about who won or lost, but the beauty of bringing them together.
When quizzed over how he did, Kamaso noted that wherever he is playing football, he strives to give it his best.
He added that he was familiar with the pitch too, as they have been playing there since 2016, noting that football is in his DNA.
