The Israeli occupation has killed or injured at least 5,844 Palestinians in just one week, between July 29 and August 4, 2025, according to the OIC Media Observatory.
The observatory recorded 1,019 Palestinians killed–685 in Gaza and 6 in the West Bank. There were also 4,825 recorded injuries. These figures bring the total number of Palestinian deaths since October 7, 2023, to 61,962, with more than 159,000 injured.
In the same week, Israel committed 6,141 violations across the Palestinian territories, contributing to a total of 304,749 war crimes documented by the observatory since the beginning of the ongoing aggression.
Among the victims were 162 Palestinians who were killed while trying to receive humanitarian aid. The UN has confirmed that over 1,500 Palestinians have died while waiting for aid since May. Aid delivery remains obstructed, with 22,000 trucks denied entry into Gaza, and Israeli forces reportedly threatening journalists documenting the humanitarian disaster.
Israeli airstrikes targeted aid workers, including a Red Crescent staff member killed in Khan Yunis. UNICEF warned of an “unprecedented” rate of child deaths amid famine and the collapse of basic services in Gaza.
Meanwhile, extremist settlers and Israeli officials escalated provocations at Al-Aqsa Mosque, including a raid led by far-right minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. Daily assaults and arrests continued at the site. In the West Bank, occupation forces carried out 274 military raids, demolishing homes, businesses, and agricultural infrastructure, while settlers carried out 79 attacks and 12 new settlement activities, including land seizures, arson, and destruction of farmland.
The OIC Media Observatory condemned the events, calling them systematic war crimes and violations of international law.
