Power Electric Satellite Solar and Supply Installation (PESSSI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CorpsAfrica–The Gambia to expand access to clean water, renewable energy, and sustainable infrastructure across rural communities.
The agreement marks a major step in strengthening community-driven development, beginning with the rehabilitation and installation of boreholes and solar-powered systems in selected CorpsAfrica project sites nationwide.
The partnership will also include joint training programs to equip community members with the skills to manage projects, budgets, and maintenance for long-term sustainability.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Bubacarr Sidibeh, Chief Executive Officer of PESSSI Company Limited, said the initiative reflects their shared commitment to using technology and innovation to improve livelihoods.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to improving lives through technology, innovation, and community service,” Sidibeh said.
“It will also promote climate resilience and strengthen local ownership of development outcomes.”
CorpsAfrica–The Gambia Country Director, Mr. Foday Bojang, described the collaboration as a model for empowering rural communities.
“By combining our community development approach with PESSSI’s technical expertise in solar, water, and infrastructure systems, we can strengthen access to essential services, create youth employment, and ensure long-term resilience,” Bojang noted.
“Together, we are not only improving infrastructure but also building hope and opportunity for generations to come.”
The partnership aligns with The Gambia’s national development priorities and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing social impact, capacity building, and sustainable resource management.
Founded in 2018, PESSSI is a youth-led Gambian company based in Basse, Upper River Region, specializing in renewable energy, borehole drilling, and construction. It has supported dozens of communities with energy access and water security initiatives across the country.
