The Ultimate Mentorship Association (TUMA) is set to orient its latest batch of trainees (mentees) in grand style to expose them to the components of the year-long training activity.
With the orientation ceremony taking place on Saturday, 15 February 2025, at the Law Faculty Auditorium in Kanifing, this batch marks its third cohort since its inception.
TUMA is a youth-led and youth-centric body that aims to empower youth in The Gambia through the incalculable of values, such as integrity, ethics, humanity, service to society, others.
The forthcoming occasion will serve as the first interface between the association and its newly shortlisted trainees.
Not only will it provide the admitted trainees the opportunity to interact, but also it will enable them familiarise themselves with TUMA’s criteria for a successful graduation.
The lineup of guest speakers include the nation’s leading human rights activist and founder of the Edward Francis Small Centre for Rights and Justice, Madi Jobarteh; national programme coordinator of Peace Hubs The Gambia, Bakary Sonko; girls education, women empowerment and social justice advocate, Fatoumatta Jaiteh Ann; and the current president of University of The Gambia Students Union.
