The Debate Association, one of the key student associations at the University of The Gambia, Sunday embarked on a two-week tour across regions and communities in The Gambia.
This year’s nationwide tour is being held on the theme ‘Empowering Young Voices for the Promotion of Sustainable Development’.
Consisting of the leadership of the body, committee members and adjudicators, the tour delegation would be engaging communities, providing debate and public speaking trainings for various high schools and staging the regional rounds for the Vice Chancellor’s National Championship (VCNC) debate.
Schools that triumph in these regional rounds would be accorded spots in the next stages of the VCNC.
The Vice Chancellor’s National Championship is a national debate and public speaking competition held annually by the association.
