Transport, Works and Infrastructure Minister Ebrima Sillah recently went on a nationwide tour to inspect Gunjur, Sanyang and other road construction projects.
The Gunjur 4.5k road project, which connects the Brusubi-Kartong to the beach, is currently in progress under a Gambian-owned construction company Green Vision International.
The Sanyang seaside is a 4.5km road project being constructed by another Gambian-owned company Zen Construction and Trading Company. These and other projects were recently inspected by Minister Sillah
The Minister, who also visited the Gunjur Development Association (GDA) Multipurpose Centre construction project site, said he was delighted at the progress so far achieved, as he visited Gunjur, Sanyang and Farato.
The road construction project will connect Gunjur fish landing site to the main highway. The road, which is crucial for the people of Kombo South, would boost infrastructural development and sustainable economic growth for Gunjur and its satellite villages.
The people of Gunjur, Sanyang and Farato have commended the authorities for the efforts in constructing such roads, and expressed deep appreciation for the transformation and development of the road.
