Barrow appreciated for completion of Hakalang Roads Project

Leaders of three communities in North Bank Region, namely Lower Niumi, Upper Niumi and Jokadu, on Saturday 12 July visited President Adama Barrow at State House to show their appreciation to him and his government for the completion of construction works on the famous Hakalang Road and its secondary loops.

The event was graced by the Governor of the Region, Chiefs, Alkalolou, religious leaders and a cross-section of the people from the community. All the speakers thanked the President for the numerous development projects and how the newly built road would change their lives and transform the socioeconomic activities of the region.

The projects include electricity and water supply systems, health and education facilities, agriculture, and youth and women empowerment initiatives.

President Barrow, in response to the overwhelming show of solidarity and appreciation of his development works, assured the people of North Bank Region that more projects “are earmarked” for the area.
