The Gambia will next host high-level Senegalese security officials for a three-day bilateral engagement on matters relating to prison administration, security cooperation and justice sector reform.
Scheduled for 29 September to 1 October 2025, the significant engagement is part of the ongoing security sector reform themed ‘Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation in Corrections and Security for Sustainable Justice’.
It will rally senior government officials, security sector actors, correctional administrators, civil society representatives and international partners for a series of activities, including courtesy visits to Gambian leaders, site tours to institutions, working sessions and technical presentations.
The objective of this engagement, according to a dispatch by the Gambia Prison Services, is to promote knowledge sharing, enhance bilateral cooperation, and explore innovative solutions in prison reform, security governance, rehabilitation, and justice system modernization.
