President Adama Barrow has extended an invitation to Essa Mbaye Faal and other political leaders to join him in advancing the development agenda of The Gambia.
Speaking at an inauguration ceremony in Gunjur, President Barrow emphasised that the election season was over and urged political actors to redirect their energy and resources toward national progress.
Barrow highlighted his ongoing efforts to build alliances, noting that after GDC leader Mama Kandeh joined his coalition, he reached out to UDP leader Ousainou Darboe to encourage collaboration.
“And to the people I have not called, people like Essa Faal, come and join me. Let us work together. To the others, come and join me and let us work. We are looking for only peace and to work for this country,” Barrow declared.
He further urged political leaders to invest in development rather than electoral campaigns, stressing that unity was essential for peace and prosperity.
Addressing the people of Gunjur, Barrow added: “If you believe in your knowledge and your ability, come and join President Barrow. What we did in 2021 will be more than what we will do this year.”
