The leader and Secretary General of the National Builders Party (NBP), Ansu Sanneh, has vowed to officially launch his party on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the Buffer Zone in Tallinding. The announcement was made during a press conference held at Dunas Hotel in Kotu.
Sanneh, addressing journalists and supporters, emphasised that “love for one’s country must become a responsibility we are all willing to carry.” He described the launch as the beginning of a journey to build a stronger Gambia through hard work, sound judgment, and discipline.
Highlighting the resilience of ordinary Gambians, Sanneh praised mothers who sacrifice for their families, farmers who return to their fields after difficult seasons, and young people who continue to seek opportunities despite setbacks. “Their persistence deserves leadership that works as hard for them as they work for their families,” he said.
The NBP leader outlined a comprehensive national development blueprint, which he described as a master plan to guide the country’s progress. He stressed the importance of honesty, accountability, and responsibility in leadership, noting that “a title doesn’t make a person worthy of leadership; character, judgment, and service must provide that work, day after day.”
Sanneh assured Gambians that the party would remain committed to transparency and accountability. “You have every right to question our plans and hold the NBP accountable for what we have set out to do,” he declared.
He concluded with a call for unity and determination: “May we make the moment with clear minds and hands ready to build the future of this country. The NBP will always think big for the Gambia, and will build big, giving opportunity.”
