Greater Tomorrow have claimed their first-ever Gambia Football Federation (GFF) FF Cup title after their 3-2 victory over TMT F.C. in a post-match penalty shootout played at the Serekunda East Mini Stadium on Saturday 20 July 2025.
TMT, seeking redemption after last season’s heartbreaking loss, dominated much of the first half, but Greater Tomorrow remained composed throughout the match.
Despite early pressure, TMT were unable to break the deadlock, as key players such as Amadou Sow, Paul Colley, and Lamarana Jallow all had clear chances, but failed to convert.
The match grew more intense in the second half, with both sides creating opportunities but lacking the finishing touch.
In the 77th minute, TMT’s Foday “Master” Tamba was sent off after receiving a second yellow card, though his team continued to press forward undeterred.
Neither side could find the net in regular time, forcing the match into a penalty shootout for the second consecutive year.
Greater Tomorrow goalkeeper Kebba Gaye emerged as the hero, saving two penalties to secure the historic win.
This marks Greater Tomorrow’s first national FF Cup triumph, while TMT have now lost back-to-back finals, both on penalties, after falling to Medina United last season.
Greater Tomorrow were awarded gold medals and a cash prize of D500,000. Runners-up TMT F.C. received silver medals and a consolation prize of D300,000.
