The Kombo East Alkalos Association Saturday partnered the Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Students’ Association (AESSA) for a massive tree-planting exercise at the Faraba Campus of the University of The Gambia.
The occasion at the state-of-the-art university facility brought together students, community members and other stakeholders who came together to ensure that the day is a success.
The planted trees are projected to contribute towards environmental conservation, and climate change mitigation and adaptation, serving not just as trees but hope for more sustainable future for people and communities across the Kombo East.
Following the activity, the bodies extended sincere appreciation to participants who contributed their time, energy and commitment to make the initiative a success.
