The PLO Lumumba Foundation – The Gambia Chapter has emerged as the first runner-up in the Pan-African Virtual Quiz Competition 2025, a competition rallying national chapters of the PLO Lumumba Foundation from across the continent for a tough contest.
Staged by the PLO Lumumba Foundation, the competition showcased exceptional knowledge of African history, politics, governance and Pan-Africanism, as well as the vision for united, prosperous and progressive Africa.
Throughout the event, held on the Zoom platform, the Gambian team demonstrated remarkable commitment, resilience and intellectual excellence.
While missing out the top spot, this dogged resilience eventually handed them second place, reflecting the Gambian chapters dedication to not only advance Pan-African ideals and intellectual engagements but also inspire young Africans become agents of positive change.
The Foundation has extended its heartfelt appreciation to all participants, coaches, supporters and members whose encouragement and commitment contributed to the success. It has equally congratulated all the chapters that participated, as the broad and extensive participation made the mega event a memorable celebration for African unity and knowledge.
Meanwhile, it has further reaffirmed its resolve to empower young people through education, leadership development and the promotion of Pan-African values, remaining determined to build success and strive for even greater achievements in future competitions.
